Awakening at 4 AM, I went to the window and was awed by the beauty that shown by the light of the crystal moon....and the scene below. This is my impression, written at my bedside before returning to sleep.

Ice crystals form a halo round the winter moon.
Snow covered field with diamonds, shown below.
Trees darkly silhouetted against the bright silver glow.
A deer standing tall, still, quiet, in cold shadows.
Waiting for the warmth of a new day, the sun at noon.

Calli,
How taken a heart must be
to put pen to parchment in the third watch of night
What you saw, rare, how you penned it, rare
for words are gifts we give
little photos, pieces to a puzzle
mirrors of what we see, are and more

A picture you created,
sown & stitched by letters
a signature & photo
my thanks to thee.

Sharing is caring
Best gift of all, 'almost'

'The Moment'

Now lives on...........

It will never fail you.”

“The longer I live the more beautiful life becomes. If you foolishly ignore beauty, you will soon find yourself without it. Your life will be impoverished. But if you invest in beauty, it will remain with you all the days of your life.”

Another of his quotes reminding me so much of Thoreau
& Walden pond..

It certainly is true, if we take a moment to breath in the beauty that surrounds us, if we are alert to the colors of the leaves, the smell of the forest, the song of a bird, the buzz of a bumble, the beauty of the snow...then we are blessed by natures bounty. We become a better person, more in tune with nature.

I am not able to pen poetry, but I have the heart of a poet.

Calli,
From my innermost heart I say,
If one can inhale Gods majestic
wonder of creation, and convey it
in form, in the still of night,
so determined their inspiration,
I'd say any mortal would have to
be quite reverant in assigning a title
to such a stirrer of inspiration.

As far as the heart of the poet part goes,
It goes without saying.
Indeed & indeed again.
