Ummmm, aha, the artist here is expressing his angst at the confusion of the people who seem to know what they want but don't. As you can see, the vivid colors are mostly on the right, as you look at it, but even if you don't, they're still on the right, while the less vivid colors are on the left symbolizing true conflict of Id over Ego. Also, please note the white at the lower left seems poised to attack the black in the upper right, aha, ummmmmmm.
