View Full Version : Memories Pressed

Memories pressed
As a desert flower in a book
Lighting the pathway back into time

Candle light waltzing & remaking time
Often we glee run & race to the path
Other times we battle the key forcing us back

A bird call, dog barking
Sunset blazed in grand
Patchwork & myriad, amany the hook

That draws us so tenderly
To take one more look
Violence & tenderness, mixed as one

Beset us and bait us
To turn back in time
Who rules the day we do ask?

Kisses stolen, love given await
The tunnel of time
The braided hair once fine

We travel our own road
Or do we I ask?
Does another tease us, Dare I ask?

Cobblestone & dirt paths
A winding in time
Memories of brightness, stilled in our mind

Puff clouds once gathered
Sun blazed once hot
Merriment once knew us, or...knew us not

I travel my own road
Barked the solitary soul
As I turned, looked behind me

My shadow now gone
Stolen by another
Whose name I know not
