Boxcars & highways
Seduced me when young
Now windows & memories
My world is at hand

A glimpse of yesterday
A taste of today
A glimmering tune
Sounding so far away

I once climed high mountains
Skipped across sea
Yet today I watch raindrops
Who dance just for me

Time passing in leaps
Sunsets grandstanding in sprees
Does tommorow await me?
Or does she flee?

Dreams escape me
Like sand slipping through hand
Colors and lightscapes, yesterday grand
Today melt into bland

I ran with the stallions
Of the painted desert land
Today I watch raindrops
Fall upon hand

Time melts, leaves fall
My day is at hand
I once roamed as a stallion
On painted desert land

You captured my thoughts...

I once climbed high mountains
Skipped across sea
Yet today I watch raindrops
Who dance just for me

Time passing in leaps
Sunsets grandstanding in sprees
Does tommorow await me?
Or does she flee?

it is fun basca

this title does not even sound like me
I hated reading the piece
i think it sucked
ive done much better

i have always been honored with you taking a sincere look at my poetry, it is a side of me im very bashfull about, extremly rather,

But yur reading my heart, my words painting me, means a lot

Cus i dont pen fantasies, i can only pen me, and my howl of day.

You hasve honored me for years now on my pieces and quotes

The gold one ...lol

Thank you my dear, for years of encourasgement

Truth is, most writers are very insecure about there stuff, i think, i cannot say
Takeback

I am insecure but my poetry

Some I think is grand, most, but some is only fair

Bit its bone honest, thats why its fresh

I didn't hate reading it at all. I don't come in here a lot, I am usually in a more laid back mood when I do. I read it with an open mind and appreciate it more than if I would read it just in passing and quickly. Hard to explain.

Well, yeah, that particular one would be one of my favorites. I have passed that one along to a lot of people and they always like it. When I first ran across you at ez I saw a link or your name in the poetry forum and landed at the Author's Den and enjoyed what you put up there. Then you would throw a lot of new ones in your poetry section there and I'd read through those in time. There are still a few in here on the front page that I will get to in time.

After your kind words Basca, and after re-reading the piece, I have deemed it worthy of a run down the main page. :rahrah

Cus I moved it to the main forum, but there was little interest, so i brought her home

She made her 'run down the hill' as we call it in the board-owning business.

I guess you missed her appearance as did all.:laugh

what a full wheelbarrow load of bs this is... :puke
little interest? I noted 280 reads..perhaps not all while it made the front page but that is not 'little interest'.

actually miss smarty-pants, most of those hits were prior, to it seeing the front page. :reporter

but yes, ill concede over 200 hits on a piece is fair,

specially since we really only have a few poetry enthusiasts.

I like it in here better. No doubt the real reason you put it back in its proper place.
